I haven’t been posting here a lot lately because I’m posting twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays, on a very special project of mine called Faces, Places and Plates – A South India Road Trip.
My collaborator is photographer Pauli-Ann Carriere. Together, we travelled the five most Southern states of India for about 4000 kilometres and 40 days in 2016 and 2017 to research, write and photograph South India’s cooks and their culture.
We’ve organized our blog around the incredible faces we met,
the places these friends call home,
the incredibly delicious raw ingredients available throughout South India,
and the plates that are a reflection of these cooks and their geography.
I hope you’ll go on over to Faces, Places and Plates and sign up for our monthly digest so we can stay in touch. I’ll still be posting here – just a little less frequently while we share the content we gathered. We hope to inspire more people to travel to India and try out the fabulous recipes we’ve collected and tested. Perhaps there will even be another Indian cookbook to offer you at the end of this great quest.
Until then, thanks for hanging in there to savour it all with me. I really appreciate you.
